Coupon Network adds Social Sign-On and Pinterest

by Rob Birgfeld

Have you noticed anything different on our site? Well, Coupon Network just made it easier to get social about saving with new features that enable simple, secure social sign-on to Coupon Network, as well as one-click sharing of coupons and offers on the web site through Pinterest.

Coupon Network’s latest social innovations make accessing and sharing great deals from great brands faster, easier and more fun for savings-focused shoppers.

Susan Gear, General Manager of Coupon Network (and blogger here!) explains, “Saving is rapidly becoming a social experience with consumers recommend the brands they love as well as discounts and coupons that stretch their purchasing power. Our goal is to help consumers engage with great brands in new and increasingly social ways that make saving fun, viral and rewarding. We will continue to bring new social features and applications to Coupon Network.”

Here’s some details about the new features on Coupon Network:

Social Sign-On

With Coupon Network’s new social sign-on feature, visitors can simply connect their Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo!, MSN or AOL accounts to register or sign-in with CouponNetwork.com. Social registration allows visitors to speed through the registration process and does not require them to create and remember another username and password. By connecting social preferences and shopping profiles, the new feature helps Coupon Network and major brands provide more relevant coupons and offers to users.

Pinterest Pin-It Button

Coupon Network has also added Pinterest’s “Pin It” button to all of the coupons and offers on the site, enabling one-click sharing on the fast-growing virtual pinboard. Millions of online consumers now use Pinterest to organize and share recipes, products and, increasingly, coupons with others.
